i had a blast! i arrived a little early, so i started off my spree by getting the guerlain kisskiss l/g in beige caprice, which i'd been lemming for a while - it's gorgeous!! kind of a sheer caramelly shade.

then, i started my ScB makeover - my MA was jessica, and she was very sweet and friendly, which made the overall experience really fun. Scott Barnes himself is very good-looking, very stylish and nice. for the makeover, he recommended the illumine e/s in mermaid (matte sky blue that ended up looking REALLY subtle actually), princess, stormy nights, and flossy glossy in meow.

i ended up getting the honey chic palette, illumineye e/s in princess (a rich violet purple) and smudge brush (kind of like MAC 219 but smaller - soooo nice!)

his foundation is great too! omg, sooooo creamy and luxurious-feeling. however, it doesn't last too well on my uber-oily skin but i would highly recommend it to anyone with normal skin! overall, i had a great time!

his line is sooooo luxurious and high-quality. i love it!

Ohhh, sounds like fun! You lucky girl! I wish I lived somewhere close to civilization so I could go to events like that. LOL.

Post some pics with the new makeup and inspire us all! ;)

I'm glad you had a blast!!! :) How is the honey chic palette? Will it work on a NC35 with yellow undertones? I'd love to know more about it!!

OOoo That is so awesome! I Love his foundation! The color I got is a little dark so I can only use as a contour but I do love it. Did you tell him you were from 411? :D

Sounds like you had a blast! I miss living in California sometimes..I was born and raised the 1st 10 years of my life in southern Cali..Both sides of my family are California natives but my father was in the military so we ended up being stationed in VA. & never left..LOL! Last time I was in Torrance, I was shocked at how much it's changed over the years.

Did you take a picture of your look after your makeover? I feel an urge to splurge again; makeup seizure is imminent!

I'm hoping that they open the makeup counter here in Chicago soon. I emailed them at Scott's website and asked and they said they were making plans. I new Scott was gorgeous just by seeing him on his site and QVC (and stylish to boot, have mercy :D ). I would probably show up at the event owning everything from his line so all they would end up doing is my makeup and sending my rear end home. In fact, I'm wearing honey blush now and I absolutely love it. I'm also wearing his lash varnish which is awesome and it doesn't irritate my eyes and I'm wearing one of his lipslicks as well (my eyes are actually a mix of Stila and Mally but I love love love Scott's shadows). Honey, and Samba (Shannon's recommendations of course, I think I'm gonna have to get Sundance after all the raves about it) both give my face a nice flush so it doesn't come out looking like too much makeup. Very nice
