my ghostly white scarred belly is back in a 2 piece. i tried on bathing suites and a 10 was too big. :)
i have lost 4 sizes on my top (of course it goes there first right) and 2 sizes on my bottom.
i feel so stupid now because i am so tan and my belly is white. lol
i have a few scars and it's still a bit swollen but i can wear a 2 piece.
macy's is having an awsome sale right now. i got a name brand TH bathing suite that was normally 84 dollars for 25 dollars!! summer is not over in florida i mean it just started!!
only now i have to work on this tan on my belly i look so funny! i am so dark everywhere else. oh, well gotta start somewhere. lol
i am so happy i am shrinking!! all this diet and exercise is paying off!!

I had to buy a new bikini because mine from 2 years ago was too big and last year when I wore it to the beach a wave came and pulled my bottoms off. I'm glad I was underwater and they were still above my knees LOL. I got one this year for like 1/2 price from Body Shop which is Body Central's (www.bodyc.com) physical store that is near me. I love body central stuff but hate ordering clothes online so I'm glad I found out they have a store near me.It was like 25 bucks which was almost 1/2 off. it's madd cute too. Very pin up girl. I usually hate bikinis and the only other one I have is teeny tiny and my mom is coming to stay for a week and I cant go to the beach every day with her wearing that small of a bikini LOL. This one covers a bit more :) . I'm so happy for you. I never wore bikinis till a few years ago when I got my first one. I always thought you had to be really skinny to wear one but I said screw it I like my curves and if the other people at the beach don't they don't have to look :) . I'm sure you'll get your mid section tanned up in no time. Congrats again... I'm so glad you're feeling better and get to go out and have fun at the pool :)

Yay I'm really happy for you.
And Sparkz -> yeah, people can just not look! Sometimes I feel like I should even wear more and 30 pounds underweight! I'm glad your comfortable wearing one, cause curves are definately hot.
eeeep I bought a new bikini a few months ago in Edmonton. The top is orange, and its got a other shade of orange as a flower, but the flowers like embroidered in its not a print. The bottoms are orange too and have white flowers intead. I heart it. Except yeah, its preeeeetty skimpy. Which is kinda good but kinda not, becauase my boyfriend gets to look but so does everyone else lol.

Debbie--I have a scar that runs from in between my chest all the way down to where you can't see. It's earthworm-like in size and shape, but I wear bikini's proudly. It's my "battle scar" and I'm not ashamed. Heck, I've done fitness modeling and worked fitness shows wearing skimpy workout outfits and have never had someone tell me that I should cover it up--although I do get a lot of questions of how I got my scar. Your scars will fade and your stomach will shrink eventually so hold your head high. If anyone gives you any nasty looks, we will egg their house! LOL

hey that's so cool Lara! lol well not cool, but I have a surgical scar from under my belly button to my hairline almost adn I'm afraid people will say stuff about it. I constantly get stares. And to top it off the bottom of the cut (when I just got out of surgery) ripped open so it's a REALLY nasty scar. I'm so scared to show it off and hearing you say that you can wear bikinis and done modelling and everything with your scar is really relieving to me. :D My stomach is still swollen where the cut is, don't know when it'll go down completely. But I can't wait!!!

07-04-2005, 01:27 AM
my very first one is custome. it's a heart with wings on my hip, i have one on my ankle of a rose and a heart, then i have a tribal pattern on my shoulder,
one on my arm of eagle feathers wrapped in a twisted leather strap. its' pretty cool. we drew it. so it's custome too.

07-04-2005, 05:38 AM
how old were you when you got your first?
debbie
07-04-2005, 05:31 PM
i was 18 because of the law. lol
i got it done by the best female tattooed woman, in that time. don't think so now. lol
i drew the heart and she assimulated it and then went to work. it didn't even hurt. lol
i felt no pain. i watched them do all my tattoos except the one on my shoulder that i couldn't see.
the one on my ankle was horrible. i didn't take care of it either. it has my ex husband's name on it. i got married young. big mistake. the tattoo wouldn't have been so bad if i had not put his name in it. lol
that's the only tattoo i regret but i have to live with it. so be it. its' not that bad. you can't barely see his name in it. the first tattoo i got is still looking as good as new.

You know, you could get a coverup done? do you know what those are?
What was the name of the lady that tattooed on you?
debbie
07-05-2005, 01:10 AM
its' been so long. i can't remember her name. but she literally was covered from head to toe with tattoos. it was yuck but cool at the same time. thing is she can never see her skin again. ever. that sucks.
like if you wanted to show off a tan you couldn't.
she was on the guiness record in 1990 i think. seh worked as an artist in ft. myers florida.
she did a great job though. lol
i didn't know there was coverup for tattoos.
i noticed that there must be because angelina jolie has tattoos all over her and you can't see any of them in the movies. so tehy must be covering them up. lol
good idea.
how would i cover up a tattoo?
Lostlipgloss
07-05-2005, 01:25 AM
Cover up? No, I guess I sho uld have been more specific. Notlike, makeup. Like...cover up! lo l okay uhhh.
Say you got a really, really, really, ugly and tattoo you hated 100% and wanted it gone. So, instead of getting it removed, theres somethign else you can do. Go to a tatto artist. They could help you figure out a NEW tattoo, to GO OVER the other one. So its like you would use cover up to cover up a blemish, except you would never haev to see that blemish again!
Except theres some things, like sometimes you can't use some colors to cover up other ones. As in, a light yellow to cover up a black. Sometimes that won't work.
And sometimes - if you have some REALLY dark places on your current tattoo, it might be a slightly darker color on the new tattoo overtop of the old color.
Heres some examples, some show before and after and some just show after :

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/Lostlipgloss/bfcoverup2.jpg ---> that one, the hearts on the right were already there and I guess she wanted them again.

My mom had that done. She had a unicorn on her hip, but the artist was really bad and it didn't look good. She eventually had another (and better) artist cover it up with a tiger. It looks really cool and you could never tell it was something else.

Tattoos are addicting I find! I have two and I want more! I have a pair of cat eyes on my lower back (right hand side) just around my underwear line. And I have a chinese symbol that stands for strength and power on my lower stomach, almost near my bikini line. I put the symbol there 'cause on the other side of my lower stomch, near my hip bone, I have a scar from a surgery I had a few years ago. So the chinese symbol stands for the strength to go through everything, etc. And the scar and symbol are pretty well parallel on my body.
I think that a tattoo really has to mean something for me, otherwise I'm sure I may regret it in a few years. My cat eyes are for my kitty, Tyler, who I've had since I was 7 years old and he's still alive and kicking almost 17 years later! He's my baby... I have no children (yet) but he's definitely my first born! lol

the other day and this girl had a vineyard of roses going up her leg all teh way to her thigh. it was cool looking. she had it done on both sides. she was wearing a high slit side dress. the tattoos must have taken awhile because she had a lot done. i bet the work was close to a thousand dollars. but it was cool. very different.
i want a tattoo on my other hip. i think of 2 ying yang dolphins. not sure yet. lol
