i have these tiny bumps on the back of my legs. they are very small, and they dont itch or anything. i think they may be ingrown hairs. just wondering if anyone knows what they could be and how to get rid of them. thanks

i have the same exact thing. i think it's because the follicles are big and the hairs we shave are thick in that area. i found lotion helps a lot. tea tree oil is a natural anti-inflmmatory reliever. it drives me nuts. i changed razors to the venus it seems to help some.
oh, i hate it too. when i have a tan you can't see it but when i am white it's only on my ankle area and calves.
if you find something that cures that let me know. i would love to get rid of it. :D

Moisturizers with AHA's seem to help minimize ingrown hair. I use one by Merle Norman simply because I work there. I seem to recall seeing some different ones at Wal Mart.
Also, it happens less when I have my legs waxed rather than shaving. If you do shave, go with the direction of hair growth as much as possible.

I see this problem a lot in the salon, usually a good salt scub helps. It helps to clear out the follicle which is blocked..this can happen on the legs and arms. If you don't have one handy at home make your own. Take olive oil, sesame oil or almond oil. Mix that with some sea salt or sugar. It also helps to soften the hands..Hope that helps ;)

which like angie said, is found on arms and legs. I used to have it on my arms, but I exfoliate them everyday in the shower which helps tremendously and I used this Neutrogena lotion, I think its called smoothing skin, or something like that, but the key is to exfoliate everyday and the lotion will help too!

I used to have those bumps on the tops of my thighs and the back of my arms. It has gotten better over the years with keeping them moisturized. Also I think what doesn't help is not letting air get to those parts so I try and wear shorts and short sleeves when I can.

I used to have that. But I found that when I shave properly, it was gone. Basically, I usually shave after a bath, or a nice hot shower. The steam opened up the pores. Then exfoliate, so the skin is nice and smooth. After, shave with a sharp blade and moisturising shaving cream. Don't forget to moisturise after. Little bumps gone!!! Plus, you will also have slotted a relaxing bath YOU time every 1-2 weeks...which is so much better for your general well being too. I usually make a huge ritual out of it..you know, hair masks, pedicure, manicure, a nice home facial........glass of wine and a good book after. Ahhh...so nice..

I used a loofah when I had KP, and then for my shower gel I use Victoria Secrets, which is the best shower stuff I have ever tried. It is so moisturizing and the only that shaves my legs really good! I still am using the loofah because I dont want the KP to come back, so I try for everynight at least.

My derm. says that Cetaphil is one of the best things to bathe with if you have KP, as it cleans without clogging the hair follicles in the 1st place. Eucerin makes a line of skin care/lotion products just for KP.

I'm an esthetician and those bumps are buil up of dead skin...kerotosis i think it's called. Exfoliate using something with salycylic acid or scrub. I get them as well....it sucks. When you exfoliate it will remove those dead skin cells and hopefully prevent futur buildups. If good old exfoliating doesn't work, go see a dematologist and he can prescibe a wash to use in those ares. :)
