Hi everyone! I'm so glad to see the board back up, it looks great! :) I'm looking for a good bronzer, something that would give me a glow without looking orange. I don't want intense shimmer, but just enough. I have NC35 skin, with yellow undertones. I'm going for a new look because I usually wear pink/peachy blush. Oh, and I'm also looking for e/s combos to go with the "bronzed" look. Thank you so much!

I'm in the market for my first ever bronzer! I experimented with using a coppery e/s as a bronzer just to see how it looked, and it was cool, (pics are posted on Dayna's site) different for me though as I usually just go with my natural skintone. I need a bronzer that works with very pale, cool skintones, (I think anything too browny-orange will just look dirty on me) so I want to hear some recommendations as well.

I got a bronzer at Ulta, it was a GWP in a set, but it is a great bronzer. It's not orange and looks really natural.

I second the MAC Golden Bronzer. Great stuff!

Guerlain Terracotta bronzer and either NARS Casino or Laguna would work for you. The MAC Golden bronzer is very pretty, and would likely deliver the look you want. A lot of girls swear by Lancome Star Bronzer (in either compact or brush dispenser), but I can't say I liked it very much. Even something like the NARS Multiple in St. Bart's or Honolulu would give you a beautiful glow; as long as the product is equivalent to NC40-42 or so, and has a neutral undertone.

As for eye shadows, the girls have already given excellent suggestions, to which I will add:

* MAC Amber Lights in the crease and outer corner, Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy (or Midnight Cowboy Rides Again) on the lid, and a simple, shimmery honey-nude shadow (such NARS Night Star as or a similar MAC pigment) as the wash.

its' bronzing powder by estee lauder. i bought it on a whim and i fell in love with it. i actaully thought it was going to be crappy. but i use it to contour my face so it looks like i have some color.
see i am a pale face due to my illness but when i put this on no one can tell. i love it.
but you have so much to choose from. lancome puts out a good one too. so much to see so much to do. its' fun though. :)

I use the bronzer shade of the Revlon Skinlights powder quad in Bare Light everyday. It's a very sheer and pretty bronzer, and it helps to liven up the skin tone. I especially like layering it over Benefit Cheekies cream blush in Yours For Keeps, or MAC cream blush in Lillicent. It's a good bronzer for pale skin because it isnt overwhelmingly dark or orange. HTH :) Penny

It seems like a lot of people like MAC's bronzer...I think I'm going to try it out! I heard Victoria Beckham uses the refined golden one...I'd love to look like her! Haha. What's the difference between the golden and refined golden? I think I want to check it out, along with NARS, Chanel, and Guerlain. I'll see which one I like, and I'll report back!

Supergirl84- I'm so excited for you!!! Do you actually get to meet Scott? If so, that's so awesome! I saw a picture of him a while ago, tell him I said hello ;) I'm just kidding. Tell me how the bronzer works for you! Have fun :)

Stephanie - Refined Golden is a bit darker and more bronze than Golden. From lightest to darkest, the MAC bronzer hierarchy is as follows:

Golden, Matte Bronze, Refined Golden, Bronze, Refined Beyond Bronze.

Hi: bronzers almost always turn orange on me so I do 2 things:

I use Clarins Cream-Gel self tanner for face, and/or
MAC Harmony blush/contour color. Harmony is a med. brown w/mauve undertones so it does not turn orange on me (MAC NC 25).

For eye color I use the MAC Kohl pencils in Teddy and Powersurge.
Or, BB e/s in Toast and Rose Gold.

The bronze shimmerbrick also looks nice on top of my cheekbones and temples.

I use to use Laura Mercier all the time but switched to MAC's. It has nice coverage and not really glittery. I have two different ones up for swap on MUA under Nicole_20. You should go there too and check out the reivews for Bronzers.
