you have nice feet and a nice shape calf it doesn't look bad even if they are chubby. i have seen women with chubby shapey legs. so no i don't find it annoying. :)
it may just be sexier to wear them and a full shaped leg. :)
hope this helps.

I love them. I have a pair of my own. I just really don't like it when people tie them so tight that their leg skin pushes through the strings. you know what I mean?

I read that if you feel you have not so thin ankles/calves that those tie up shoes won't do any justice for ya. It will only put attention to those places. so I say if you don't feel comfy with your legs then you probably wouldn't feel so great in those kinda shoes too!!!

personally i think they are cute in idea but dont carry to well. what i mean is if your short (like me) its harder to pull them off cuz they chop you off at the ankle and make the person appear shorter. this is just my opinion tho i just thing like one that draws to a V at your toe makes your legs look longer and leaner. having said this i have seen some ppl who pull em off like pro's.

I have chubby ankles and LOVE that kind of shoes, but if you are to believe what Trinny and Susannah (BBC-hosts in "What not to wear"):

Choosing the right pair of shoes
- If you have thick ankles, don't wear delicate, strappy heels, ballerina-style shoes or ankle straps which cut across the ankle.

- If you have skinny legs, avoid thin, teetering heels or they'll look like they're going to snap under the weight of your body.
- If you are pear-shaped, avoid dainty kitten heels.
Trousers and jeans should fall to the bottom of the heel.
- Black shoes look best with darker colours - don't wear black shoes with light-coloured clothing unless they are extremely dainty.
- Don't wear black shoes with bright colours as they make your outfit look cheap.

So I avoid shoes with straps that cut across the ankle, 'cause it is very true!
But I still think they're stunning!
