No shortcuts I'm afraid...and believe me, I've tried! I never found concentrating on one zone helpful. Usually get a little more toned, along with more aches and cramps on the area!! A more helpful way is to exercise and workout the whole body, and when your body is nice and warm, you concentrate on the areas you want to work on by doing more sessions or target specific exercises before cooling down. Lara would probably be more helpful in this area. Personally, I have found that lunges and those squeeze butt* (see footnote) exercise are helpful to target those glutes! Working on the barre is also very good, especially on leg extensions. If your knees are a problem, swimming is a good general workout that will eventually get you nice streamlined hips and legs.

You also have to watch your general eating habits. Sodas are associated with formation of cellulites, so cut down on these...and that's one step. More water, and less caffeine.

Hope this helps and good luck!

*don't know what they are actually called, but basically..you bend your knees while holding your stomach in to almost sitting, and squeeze your butt as you stand. You can also improve the tones in your arms by adding triceps/biceps curls or shoulder presses.

Hope this helps and good luck! That exercise is called a squat--although squeeze butt does have a nice ring to it. LOL.

Summer--Bravo! I couldn't have said this better myself!

I agree w/ the others- you really can't spot train and get great results. You need to start doing some cardio vascular activity - and start eating low-fat low-sugar foods :) Yoga or weight trainging will help you so much also!
