My friends and I were discussing this: Do you buy clothes that require ironing? If so, do you iron most of your clothing or just those things that absolutely need to be ironed. Some of my friends hardly ever iron (might not even own a board) and some are 100% cotton fans who iron every day.
Just curious...... :)
Gee, I was just thinking this could be a "hot" topic.....OK, stopping the typing thing now before the puns keep coming.... :D

i think if you get it out of the dryer soon enough there is no need.
my husbands works shirts are cotton and everyone at his job thinks i iron them. lol
i intentionally buy things with hardly any cotton. lol
i hate ironing. bla bla lol
Are you referring to that thing that other people know how to do? I couldn't iron my way out of a paper bag! I know I have an actual iron somewhere..but I have no idea where it is? I sure don't own an ironing board!
My idea of ironing is watching the dryer like a hawk! That or paying the cleaner to do it for me!

My iron tends to be the dryer of fluff cycle or hanging clothes in the bathroom to steam while I shower!

I've ironed, like, once EVER. Only because I bought a pair of long and lean jeans from Gap and even the short jeans were 7 inches too long for me. So, I bought that fusible webbing (because I'm too lazy to actually sew hems) and my dad showed me how to iron it on and hem them up. Well, it still didn't work. No matter, I undergrew the pants anyway!
My mom used to save all the ironing for one night, and we'd stay up all night and watch movies. When I got a bit older and we didn't do that as often, and when my dad retired from civil service (thereby making clean, pressed shirts redundant), she put all the clothes in one basket and put them God knows where and said, "I'll never iron again." And you know what? She didn't. And you know what else? She owes me a white button-down shirt since it was in the basket of ironables. I'm sure she doesn't care now that she's passed on, but if she could at least point me to where that shirt is...
I buy clothes that are supposed to be ironed but I do the dryer method as well. I also do medium-to-large loads of clothing and when transferring them from washer to dryer, I shake each article out a bit so they won't be balled into one wrinkly bundle. If that fails, I use the Downy wrinkle releaser. If I weren't so fond of James I'd stalk the person who invented that stuff and marry him. And if it's a woman who invented it, well, it may be worth switching teams for. That stuff is AWESOME. (BTW, I also buy clothing that *should* be dry cleaned. I still can't bring myself to trust dry cleaners either!)

I hate ironing!! Unfortunately, I love cotton and linen clothes...so had to learn. A softener makes the job a lot easier. Nowadays, I'm afraid I usually just send it to the cleaners and let them deal with it! My job is to send them off and pick it up. However, there are those cotton shirts now that doesn't need to be ironed..don't know how that works though.

I hate to iron. I do it sometimes, but I try to avoid it at all costs. I bought a stand steamer like they have in clothing stores. I love it. It is so much easier than ironing, and takes a fraction of the time.

I'm so bad at getting things to the cleaners I never end up going- I always have a bag full ..waiting.. and then I usually end up just either hand washing or maching wash on gentle.. I've ruined some clothes of course, maybe one day I'll start acting like a grown-up :p
