What's the best travel makeup ever? I need some colors to take with me r/o

Definitely check out NARS multiples if you don't already own one. The last time I went on vacation I only took my South Beach multiple, eyeliner, and mascara! Saved sooo much room in the suitcase not having to haul all my makeup! ;)

what i do is take a palette or quad. then i take a liner and some mascara and lippies of course. i use the lipstick as blush works like a charm. that way i can pack the other 100 things with me. lol

NARS Multiples and Stila Convertible Colors are wonderful, multi-use products. Depending on your colouring, you would be wise to get either a pink/berry-toned (for cooler complexions), or nude-bronze (warm) product. These can be used on your eyes, cheeks, and lips, and the bronze shades can also do double duty as a contour when applied with a heavier hand.

Eyeliner is not necessary; rather, bring a medium/dark eye shadow that flatters you as well as a small eyeliner brush. Apply the shadow lightly on the lid, slightly darker in the crease and outer corner, and apply close to the lash line with the brush. Especially good for this purpose is an eye shadow duo, where the lighter shade is used on the lid and as the wash, and the darker does the work of the liner and crease shadow, with varying degrees of intensity.

Palettes are probably your best bet, though. NARS makes some excellent ones - Honey Rider and Skin Deep are two of my favourites. Don't forget old travel stand-bys such as lip balm, hand creme, and tinted moisturizer. :)

I like to bring a nice peach color shadow to use as blush when I go out of town and I also take a cake liner so I can use it as liner and/or use it dry as a dark shadow for when I need to glam it up. But usually I just pack a whole other suitcase for my makeup... it kills my husband but I have the worst time trying to decide what to bring so I bring all 3 huge cases worth. :)
