i am SO imbarresed about my strech marks.. its terrible.. They are on one of my inner thighs.. They could be worse but I just feel terrible and becuase of them I never were shorts or short skirts
Its fustrating for me because I am a fitness instructor and work out alot and and very tones legs and would like to wear shorts but am imbarresed about these stupid strech marks I am kinda perplexed how I got them to.. I must have gained almost 5 pounds last summer than boom .. strech marks for me.
i am not heavy at all I am 5'9 and 133
so anyways any coverup that would work for the legs that will blend and stay on and not wear off on cloths
any one else have this problem
I personally feel that if they were covered up abit I wouldn't worry at them as much
I have not tried this myself, but it is new and sounds interesting! It is called Air Stocking in a spray can. I am looking at the article in a magazine and it says, "Tanned legs look slimmer and blemish-free. Pack away pesky pantyhose and explore updated options. Airstocking Premier Silk Makeup Foundation for the legs has the look of pantyhose without the runs. The waterproof formula moisturizes, firms and provides spf. Available at Neiman Marcus." Anyway sounds pretty good to me!

You cant erase textural changes like stretch marks, they may fade over time or you can see a plastic surgeon about some correction. Here is what you can do;
a. use a light reflecting concealer to reduce the apparent depth of the line
b. use a lifting and firming high end cream to moisturize, repair and reduce the appearnce of lines, it takes about 6 weeks to see solid results
c. massage the area to break down any find adhesions, pull the skin taught, give it signals to repair by working the area a few minutes a night
The problem with concealers is that they fall into the fine grooves on a line and actually make the problem worse...so its bit of trial and error to get it right.
Dont underestimate your bodie's potential to eliminate them over time....alot can be done if a realistic attitude is taken...
Also, post this attention Summer in health and fitness....she is a physician and can advise you on this as well....

When you put on weight the last summer, it stretched your skin, and now that you've lost weight, it is more apparent. Hence why pregnant women are more prone to strech marks. The best way is prevention, I'm afraid. Not a lot of effective treatment out there besides light therapy and surgery. You can minimize it by moisturising the area well and applying products that can increase cell regeneration. The one that is cheap and effective is vitamin E. Get those capsules, pierce them open and apply it to the area. Cocoa butter may also help. It can be a long process thought. Retin-A can also help in minimising its appearance, or any vitamin A derivatives. Your dermatologist can prescribe one, although I understand that you can get those over the counter in the States. Just be aware that some people are sensitive to it. Topical vitamin C has also been shown to work, although finding a product tha has stable vitamin C is quite hard. The one that I know of is by N.V. Perricone, adn it is quite pricey. There are some new technology with emulsified lipids and C6 esters that may help. DDF does one product with those ingredients. They are both catered for the face though, hence why the price in quite high. Try the first two approaches first, adn see if it improves it. Then maybe you can research other avenues.

Hey girls! I have a worm-like scar that runs up the center of my stomach as well as a gazillion stretch marks on my hips and lower abdomen. I've done lots of trade shows and fitness modeling where these flaws weren't an option. I used to use Dermablend, but now have switched to Sally Hansen's Airbrush legs. It stays on with minimal rub off and is waterproof. I love how it blends and it isn't as expensive as all the others. Take it from me, you will want to try this too! :)

Can you use that sally hansen spray anywhere on your body?
I honestly don't see why not. I do and it hasn't caused me issues thus far. :)

Wow..I didn't know the Sally Hansen worked like that..Man! I need like an 8 ounce can of that stuff then. My scars are mostly on my tummy from childbirth but this sounds interesting. LOL
Hahaha--that's where I have most of mine too. I have to use it when I wear the lower cut jeans to cover up my stretch marks or else I scare small children. :D

i am soooooo proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you go girl!!!
look into journalism and creative writing. you will love it! i know i did. :) you have any questions about it just ask.
i know that some creative writing classes sometimes either will concentrate more on poetry or short stories, it's kind of the teachers pet peeve thing. my teacher concentrated more on poetry, but believe it or not it really helped me. i am thinking of taking the 2nd part to it here at the univeristy. to get me going again.
well if you work for mac you can support your habit. lol
you'll have all the make up. lol lol lol
