ok in a town of 700 ppl this is a exciting day! we'll we have known for a while but i thought it would never happen but i guess its supposed to open in a mont and the people who are running it are always there working on it (its across from the place i work). they are getting machines and personal trainers and instructors! i am going to buy a membership i think. but i cant decide weather i want a personal trainer or a group leader. what do you guys think? i dont know how to do any gym things so i have no idea what would be good for me. im a small build, i need to loose like 5 ibs and then just do some tonning. but i hate working out so i know i would need a trainer or be in the group training one so that if i didnt come i would be letting other people down. what do you all think? im excited!

personally i think that personal trainers kick A**! i have never had one but i know people who have and they say its great. they make you work hard and meet your goals. its like answering to your parents about weight and stuff. they set you on a specific diet for your body type and what you want to loose. you discuss a goal and then you meet it. good luck sweetie! i was thinking of a personal trainer, just dont have the $ right now.

Hey girlies--thanks for supporting personal trainers ( I take it personally since I am one. tee hee). Find out the price difference of each one first. You might be able to pick up the exercises quickly with a group instructor and not want to pay the extra for a personal trainer. Or, you may find that you prefer the one on one fitness instruction and prefer to hire one. Hopefully, since the gym is new, they will at least allow you to try each type of instruction for free or at a very discounted rate. Another option you might want to see if you can do--I have always allowed clients to do this--is to get a friend to split the cost of a trainer with you and have you both train with the P.T. together. I've trained many girlfriends and husband/wife duos that enjoyed working out together that way. :)
