I have this little patch on the left side of my face that is very prone to breakouts more than the rest of my face. Its like whenever I get it cleared up, it just comes right back. What do you suggest? I'v read about getting facials that take the toxins out of your face, could this help? I really need help with this! I drives me insane!

Stacey, maybe this will sound strange, but do you sleep on your left side? I find that I break out more on my left side, and I'm sure it's because I sleep on that side. I figure my skin on that side doesn't get to breathe as much, absorbs sweat or grime from my pillow maybe - eww! Anyways, just a thought, since usually if you have an acne prone area it's not on one side, it's usually one area, like chin or cheeks or forehead.

Dgirl - You are SO right!! I always freak my clients out when I ask them, " You sleep on this side - don't you?" It really does make a difference when you change your pillow case every other day!

Well I sleep on both sides but mostly on my right, i thought about that being a reason but it doesn't add up if i sleep on my right side though.... its just really strange that the blemishes come back in the exact same spot everytime

Does it matter if the pillow case is colored or white? I never thought to change my pillow case every other day. I normally every week....u know changing sheets and everything. But does it really make a difference. I break out more on my right cheek than my left. Its annoying!!! what clears it up stacy??!!!
The dirt, oil, dead skin cells, dust - all of that is rubbing into your pores so - yes changing it often if you are prone to breakouts can really, really help.
As far as what clears it up- everyone is different, and what works for one may not work for another.. Private message me if you want!

I don't think the colour of your pillowcase would matter, unless you were someone who was sensitive to dyes. I think the main thing would be to change it regularly.
buy a bunch of those satin pillow cases from the store and change your case every few days. YOu can also buy one of those fancy sleep pillows which help to keep you from resting on your face when you sleep a certain way (some of them come with satin cases and you can purchase more). Also, clean your makeup brushes often and if none of this works, check out a derm, maybe they can prescribe a topical anti-biotic. HTH Did I mention that I love this new and improved board :D
